There are seven locations in the village where qualified teachers develop the educational activity. There are schools and nursery schools in each village and the number of pupils who study here amounts to 539.

As far as religion is concerned there are orthodox, evangelic and catholic churches in Bazna, Boian and Velt. The fortified churches in Bazna and Boian are tourist attractions and can be visited by those interested.

In Bazna and Boian there are two folk groups which preserve the local traditions: COCONITA (Boian) and DATINI (Bazna).
